Privacy Policy

How we handle the information you give us.

Not yet reviewed. This is a generic starting draft, not legal advice. Insurance agencies handle nonpublic personal information and are subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, state insurance privacy regulations, and — depending on where your clients live — state privacy statutes such as the CCPA/CPRA and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. Have counsel or your E&O carrier review this page before launch, then delete this notice from app/privacy/page.tsx.

Last updated: TODO(real) — set this to the date the policy is actually approved, and update it whenever the policy changes.

Monfort Insurance Group(“we,” “us,” or “the agency”) operates monfortinsurance.com. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us. On this website that means the fields in the quote request form:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address, if you provide one
  • Your ZIP code, if you provide one
  • The type of coverage you are asking about
  • Anything you type into the message field

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, dates of birth, or payment information through this website. If a quote requires that information, we will collect it directly — by phone or through a secure carrier system — not through this form.

How we use it

We use what you send us to respond to your request: to prepare a quote, to contact you about coverage, and to service a policy if you become a client. We may share information with insurance carriers, wholesalers, and premium finance companies to the extent necessary to quote or place your coverage. That is the ordinary course of an agency’s business.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

TODO(real): state your actual retention period. Agencies commonly retain client and quote records for a fixed number of years after the last policy term, driven by state recordkeeping rules and E&O carrier guidance. Confirm the number that applies to you.

Cookies and analytics

TODO(real): this site currently sets no analytics or advertising cookies. If you add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, a call-tracking product, or a chat widget, this section has to be rewritten — and in several states a cookie consent banner becomes necessary. Do not add tracking without updating this page.

How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, and quote submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to submitted information is limited to agency staff who need it to do their work. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the recordkeeping obligations that apply to licensed insurance producers. Depending on your state of residence you may have additional statutory rights. To make a request, call or write to us using the contact details below.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be posted here before they take effect.
